FLF - Annual Soccer Tournaments

What started as a 5-a-side soccer tournament quickly became one of those MSH days that was about so much more than football. ⚽🧡

Students from across our residences came together to compete, support their teams and simply enjoy the day. There was plenty of action on the pitch, cheering from the sidelines, prizes and giveaways, a few lucky Golden Ticket winners, and lots of laughs in between. With Cape Town showing off in the background, the atmosphere was energetic, competitive and full of that MSH community spirit.

Then came the big moment.

Young Blood were crowned our 2026 champions. 🏆

But what made their win even more meaningful was the message they chose to stand behind. Young Blood wanted to use their platform to raise awareness around Gender-Based Violence, reminding everyone that being a champion is not only about being strong on the field.

It is also about the kind of person you choose to be off it.

• Real strength is respect. Real strength is protecting others. Real strength is speaking up against abuse.

The day ended with celebrations, teammates and supporters coming together, and a winning team that wanted its victory to mean something bigger.

• Football brought everyone together.
• Community made the day special.
• And Young Blood made sure their message was heard.

Congratulations to our 2026 MSH Soccer Champions, Young Blood. 🏆⚽

Champions on the field. Champions for change. 💜
