2026 Business Networking & Panel Discussion

It really was about creating a table we never had. 🧡

On 12 September, our MSH Cape Town students came together for an afternoon of conversation, connection and opportunity.

The room was filled with current students, past MSH students, guest speakers and members of our wider MSH community. What made the event special was that it didn’t feel like a formal “sit down and listen” session. It felt personal.

Our alumni shared pieces of their journeys after varsity — the lessons, the setbacks, the things they wish someone had told them earlier, and the moments that helped shape where they are today. Students had the chance to listen, ask questions, meet people, exchange ideas and start building networks of their own.

There was laughter, food, honest conversation and plenty of those little moments where you could see someone thinking, “Maybe I can do this too.”

And that was exactly the point.

We wanted our students to leave understanding that networking isn’t just about collecting contacts. It is about building relationships, learning from people who have walked the road before you, and being brave enough to put yourself in rooms where opportunities can begin.

The people sitting in the audience today could very well be the guest speakers at the next one.

A huge thank you to our alumni, speakers, students and everyone who helped make the day possible, as well as the Future Leaders Fund for helping us create the space.

We’re not just giving students a seat at the table. We’re helping them build their own. 🧡

Connect. Collaborate. Create opportunity.
