Bloemfontein is home to the University of the Free State (UFS) and the Central University of Technology (CUT), two of the Free State's primary institutions for higher education. My Student House provides NSFAS-accredited student accommodation in the Universitas and Willows suburbs, both within close proximity of these campuses.
Universitas is one of Bloemfontein's premier student suburbs, situated directly adjacent to UFS's main campus. MSH's Dreyers property is located 1.5 km from UFS and is exclusively available to UFS students. The suburb offers a safe, study-oriented environment with residential streets and easy walking access to the university.
Willows is a well-established residential area serving CUT students. MSH's Willows property is 2 km from the CUT campus and is reserved for CUT students. The area is quieter than Universitas but benefits from proximity to shops and public transport routes connecting the city centre.
Both Bloemfontein properties are fully NSFAS-accredited. Qualifying UFS and CUT students can apply with their NSFAS funding letter and student registration document. Rent includes WiFi, water, electricity, laundry facilities, communal kitchen, and on-site security.
Bloemfontein has a clear leasing season, with the majority of students applying between September and November for the following year. MSH advises all students to apply as early as possible, as single room availability is limited and reserved on a first-come basis.
