If I am funded by NSFAS, do I still have to pay a deposit?
Yes, all students must pay a deposit to cover them for breakages/damage.
How far is the property from CPUT or UWC?
A: Bellville Residences to UWC and CPUT – 4km
Parow Residences to UWC and CPUT – 7 km
If I pay now, can I move in straight away?
A: Once we confirm that your room is ready for you, you have paid your deposit and signed your lease agreement, then you may move in.
I applied online, can I move in now?
You need to first go through our application process by sending us the completed application form with all supporting documents that are asked for and a proof of payment for the deposit and the application fee.
Is the deposit refundable?
A: Yes, your deposit is refundable at the end of the year, or 1 month after you vacate your room, on condition that your room is still in good condition and nothing is broken.
Can my friend and I book a room together and share?
A: Yes you can, provided that we have a room available that suits your needs. Please arrange this upfront so that you and your friend can be allocated to the correct room.
Can I bring my own fridge to put in my room?
A: Yes you can.
Can I go home during the holidays and then come back?
A: Yes you can, as long as you continue to pay your rent each month. Please also notify us if you are going away for long periods of time so that we know that you are safe.
Can I book a room now during the middle of the year but only arrive in a few months time?
A: If you book a room now and you want us to keep that room for you, it means we will have to turn other students away, so you will have to pay the rent for that room each month.
Will NSFAS pay for me to stay in a single room?
A: Normally, NSFAS only covers the cost of a double or sharing room, and if you want a single room, you will need to pay extra for that yourself.
Can I send you my "private accommodation funding form" to complete for the University?
A: You need to first go through our application process, by sending us the completed application form with all supporting documents that are asked for and a proof of payment for the deposit and the application fee. We will then send you a lease agreement that needs to be signed and after all of that is complete, we will assist you with completing the university’s form.
How much is the Rent?
A: Rent is subject to the type of bursary as well as the type of student you are private or bursary student as well as room type selected.
Do you accept NSFAS students?
A: Yes we do
How much is a single room?
A: Prices will be different based on size please request via email.
What type of furniture do you have in the house?
A: We meet all the basic requirements of student accommodation as well as provide loads of extra that other student homes do not.
Can I pay the deposit over 2 Months if I am an NSFAS student?
A: Yes but you will not get keys until the full Deposit is provided.
